A Little Bit About Me ...Hi there! I'm Kristi and I'm the owner/creator/manager/maker/everything-er of Hippie Chick Herbal Harmony (HCHH).
Some of you may remember my shop from a few years ago. I had a very active and busy business from 2012 through the end of 2020. If you knew that part of me, you probably knew about my early battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma (back in the early 1990s) and what led me to get into this type of business. When I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's all those years ago, natural remedies and supplements weren't offered to me. I went through an ungodly amount of radiation and treatments that thankfully saved my life, but not without consequences - compromised immune system, fibromyalgia, and other not-so-fun things. Things were going GREAT ... until March of 2020. A sketchy mammogram discovered a rare form of breast cancer caused by the above mentioned radiation years ago. As the world was shutting down with Covid-19, I was fighting yet another battle. Complications from my mastectomy left me with a huge loss of range of motion in my arms and pain with movement. In October 2020, I shut down HCHH for good. I was heartbroken. I tried recreating HCHH a couple times but the hits just kept coming ... Fast Forward to mid-2022 when a small heart murmur was discovered. It seems the same radiation therapy had struck again. It tore up my aortic valve, causing aortic stenosis. That turned bad quickly, leading to two open-heart surgeries in the summer of 2024. That was a rough one for our whole family, but by the grace of God, we made it through. Still recovering but things are going well and I'm feeling so much better with my new bovine heart valve, and a new found affinity for Cows! So I'm READY for my big do-over! I've been making some of the products for our family all along, on good days and decided it's time to get back to what I love - working with herbs and oils, creating natural health products for your family and mine.
